Kalmaegi Is Not Heading to Thailand Today Viral post recycles a 2025 TMD announcement

A viral post claims that Typhoon “Kalmaegi” will move into Thailand tomorrow and lists provinces allegedly bracing for heavy rain. Thai PBS Verify found that the post combines a Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) announcement issued in November 2025 with a weather forecast dated September 28, 2026—two different time periods. There is no official announcement stating that Typhoon “Kalmaegi” is currently moving into Thailand.
